Healthy Initiatives put together an event promoting safety, providing safety helmets to youth, as well as a skate board demonstration.

Skate Board Event

Throughout the year WLCAC holds skate boarding events for youth. At this particular event, we held a raffle, and gave a week long trip to a skate board camp.

WLCAC After The Riots
|
WLCAC has survived two riots in Watts, and although we sustained the loss of our headquarters during the riots of the early ‘90's, we continued our work to further the WLCAC mission.

Winter Holiday Celebration

Shaquille O' Neal, the former Los Angeles Laker, would donate truck loads of toys, and invite celebrities to Watts every year during the Holiday Season.
