WLCAC Greater Watts Transportation - WLCAC has been providing community transit programs since 1973, and currently operates a fleet of vehicles for community transit and charter trips. Mini-buses, equipped with wheelchair lifts, are used to provide door-to-door transportation for the elderly or physically handicapped to senior centers, health-care facilities, shopping centers, and other community service facilities for a nominal fee.
Larger buses are available for charter by non-profit community service organizations. Traveling within a 50-mile radius of their point of origin, charter buses also transport senior citizens and community groups to special events and recreational facilities, public hearings, conference sites, and similar events. The WLCAC operates almost two dozen buses, trolley and passenger vans that provide frequent community-level transit service, on fixed routes in and around the Watts/Willowbrook area.
